A Glimpse into Belgian Nuclear History in Mol, Geel, Dessel, Brussels, and Katanga

In the lecture, Vincent Massaut will outline Belgium’s significant contributions to nuclear development from its inception, with a focus on the pivotal role played by the Mol, Geel, and Dessel regions. But we will also see that the origin of the nuclear interest in Belgium is much more profound and back to the beginning of the main discoveries… We will also have a look at the developments in various domains of nuclear science and nuclear energy production; hoping that this already long history will not stop too early.
